Our practice nurses run clinics daily. Appointments can be made for such things as wound care, ear care, immunisations; help with lifestyle changes such as stopping smoking or losing weight; contraception and cervical smears; and management of diseases such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension.

Each nurse specialises in particular areas and different length appointments are needed for different things. The receptionist will guide you when you book a nurse appointment.

They have undergone a rigorous training programme in the practice and at the hospital. They are able to take blood and to undertake investigations such as ECGs and blood pressure measurement. HCA's are also involved in hypertension reviews.
