Hampshire Together: Modernising our Hospitals and Health Services

What would you like to see in a new hospital for Hampshire? Do you have ideas about how a health and wellbeing campus can be created for the area?

Hampshire Together: Modernising our Hospitals and Health Services is a programme that will deliver a new hospital to serve the people of north and mid Hampshire, as well as many other healthcare benefits, as part of the government’s Health Infrastructure Plan to modernise NHS hospitals.

All NHS and social care organisations across the area, including Hampshire Hospitals and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Groups, are working together to make the most of this opportunity.

A new hospital will help to support patients, their families and their carers to access the right care, in the right place, at the right time in order to keep them healthy – but the programme’s impact will reach far beyond this new building. It will involve GPs, mental health, community care, social care and the wider voluntary sector, as well as acute hospital care, making health services across the area work better, for patients and staff alike.

Before anything is decided, including the location of any building and services within a new hospital, your views are needed!

Over the course of June and July 2020, the Hampshire Together team want to hear from patients, staff and members of the public from across the area and beyond, to find out what is important to them.

More information about the programme can be found at www.hampshiretogether.nhs.uk and in the listening document created to set out the challenges, opportunities and decisions involved in Hampshire Together.
